The property is located in North Bali, at 330 meter above sealevel, about 8 km from the beach of Singaraja, in the village of Sambangan. An area where mainly Balinese families live. A few foreign properties are build in the area as well. It is located on a well-maintained local road that winds up towards the volcano peaks. Between the land and the street floats a little river. 

The owner of the property is a Dutch artist, and about ten years ago, she started to convert a virgin rice field in the hills above the city of Singaraja into a small tropical paradise. The total space is 2000m2, and one-third is still a rice field.

The cottage like house grew around a 100 years old "Lumbung / Balinese rice barn", put on pillars. Inside and outside are seemslessly connected.

You access the upper bedroom (the original old rice barn) via a wooden staircase. And halfway, there is a platform with a double bed. This place is only 145 cm high but functions as a lovely bedstead.

There are two bedrooms, one on the backside of the house. The bathrooms are outdoors, close to a roof-covered studio and parking. A part of the area is still unused, and there is a possibility to make a second bridge over the little river.

The property has all the necessary licenses for officially renting out, like an IMB and Pondok Wisata. 

The virtues of the property:

First of all, the property's beautiful landscaping, with an attractive garden and rice fields as a natural border. The swimming pool perfect blends into it, and when you swim, you oversee the neighboring rice fields and have a magnificent view of the Balinese sea below.

At the edge of the adjacent property is a deep gorge through which an adventurous river flows with many waterfalls where you can even slide and jump. This area is called "The Secret Garden of Sambangan" and is a popular trekking area.

There are some nice restaurant and bars, an excellent organisation for doing nature hikes in the neighbourhood and beautiful spots to hang out, relax and swim.

Therefore, it is a lovely place for people who want to combine relaxation and outdoor activities in nature but still want to be relatively close to a city with its facilities.
