Bali Dance and Music in California

On Saturday June 2, The Oakland Museum of California Gardens will have a Balinese Dance and Music performance.

Putu Putrawan will perform with his Gamelan Orchestra 'Gamelan Sekar Jaya' playing the Angklung and Jegog amongst others.

Gemalan Sekar Jaya is a Balinese Gamelan Orchestra based in the USA, and the wife of Putu, Ida Ayu Ketut Suciawani is an international known Bali dancer.

They come from Munduk North Bali, where they are involved in teaching and performing traditional Balinese Dance and Music at the Sanggar Triptaka community Dance and Music center.
