Visa on Arrival Application

Various efforts have been made by the government in attracting foreign tourist visits to Indonesia, including Bali.

One of them is the Visa on Arrival (e-VoA) electronic application at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. Through the launch of the application, it is hoped that it will make it easier for tourists to take care of immigration documents.  See

Acting Director General of Immigration Widodo Ekatjahjana, said that the e-VoA policy launched resuilted from the innovation of the Directorate General of Immigration, which is a very strategic policy. The implementation of e-VoA is expected to make a real contribution to encouraging the entry of foreign tourists and business people from all over the world to Indonesia. “The ease and speed of this immigration service can increase the enthusiasm of the world community to come to Indonesia. This will have a positive impact on the country's economy," said Ekatjahjana.

Furthermore, he said, with e-VoA, foreigners only need to register their visa application through the website. After that, they can pay online using a credit card or debit card bearing the Visa, Mastercard, or JCB logo. After making the payment, the e-VoA application will be verified by an officer and if approved then sent to foreigners through the application. "Furthermore, foreigners simply download the approved e-VoA and show it at the immigration checkpoint when entering Indonesian territory, including at Ngurah Rai Airport," explained Ekatjahjana.

Through the launch of the application, foreigners are more comfortable and no longer have to queue at the VoA payment counter at the arrival terminal. They also don't have to worry if they haven't had time to exchange their money into rupiah or USD. The e-VoA service helps opening the gateway for foreigners to enter Indonesia with an easy visa application.
