The neighbourhood has been designed by people who envisaged a tranquil living environment for those who want to build their own home, but not be bothered with the construction stress, who want to live surrounded by nature, who want to be far enough away from busy Canguu, yet close enough to commute.

The founders have located a picturesque piece of land in Kaba Kaba, with the aim of building 10 private houses, a communal shala (an open pavilion that provides a shaded meeting place. Traditionally, the architecture of a shala is open on all four sides, with overhanging eaves that protrude outwards to provide protection from the elements), a communal pool and communal fruit and vegetable garden. 

How does it work? 

- You choose your plot

- You choose the size of your house

- You choose the details of your house, materials etc

- Contractor builds your house

- You move in, sell your house, or rent your house

The founding team will oversee the entire project and make sure it is legal, safe and secure. They will hire an architect and contractor directly and privately to avoid inflated agency costs. You will have the opportunity to work with the architect to design your home to suit your requirements.

Can I rent or sell the house? 

Yes, your private house can be rented out or sold at any time. There will be simple guidelines, as the founders do not want the neighbourhood to become a pure profit investment opportunity. 

Timeframes: 

18/02/23: You choose a private plot and a commitment payment of 30% to create the neighbourhood.

2nd Quarter 2023: Each neighbour decides on their specific choices around their house and style of building. Full payments are made (overseen by ASKA Legal).

3rd Quarter 2023: Construction starts.

4th Quarter 2023: Expected date of completion.

Prices start from $102,000 USD and will vary depending on the house design, build + landscaping options.
