Buleleng Festival

Buleleng Festival is an annual tourism and cultural event proudly hosted by the Buleleng Regency Government. Each year, this vibrant celebration brings the spirit of North Bali to life through captivating art, cultural performances, and showcases of local innovation.

During the festival, you’ll encounter a colorful array of local performances and attractions—traditional Balinese dances, shadow puppet shows, mesmerizing Gong Kebyar orchestras, eco-friendly local products, art exhibitions, and culinary delights. Every corner of the festival reflects the unique spirit of Buleleng and the cultural of Bali.

A long-awaited return

After a four-year hiatus since 2020, Buleleng Festival is finally making its long-awaited return this year. According to the official government website bulelengkab.go.id, this year’s Buleleng Festival is set to take place from August 18 to 23, 2025, with the theme: “The Mask of Buleleng.” Embracing this theme, the 2025 edition of the festival promises to deliver traditional culture, modern elements, and pop creativity — making it one of the most anticipated events on Bali’s cultural calendar. Free public transport

To enhance the visitor experience, the local government will also provide 60 free public transport vehicles—including traditional bemos and horse-drawn carts (dokars)—to shuttle attendees to and from the festival. These nostalgic rides will operate across key locations in Singaraja City, taking visitors directly to the main venue at Tugu Singa Ambara Raja, also known as the Zero Kilometer Point of Singaraja. It’s a rare chance to ride vintage public transport while enjoying one of the island’s most iconic festivals.

Singa Ambara Raja Monument

The festival is also planned to feature several stage locations in addition to its main stage at the Singa Ambara Raja Monument. Additional stages will be set up at Puri Kanginan, Sasana Budaya, Laksmi Graha, and the official residence of the Buleleng Regent — creating a vibrant atmosphere across the city during the celebration.

Bali’s local culture

Every event is more than just a celebration — it’s a vibrant window into Bali’s local culture. Don’t miss the chance to join the fun, feel the spirit, and create memories that will stay long with you...
