This July, Buleleng Regency is set to host an exciting series of events, like the Lovina Festival and the Fishing Tournament. Another highlight on the calendar is the Bupati Buleleng Golf Tournament & Charity, which will take place on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

More than a Competition

More than just a competition, this tournament aims to bring together golf lovers and enthusiasts while promoting sports tourism in Bali. Hosted at Bali Handara Golf & Resort, the only golf course in North Bali, the event offers participants a chance to enjoy a cool climate and breathtaking scenery while teeing off.

Young Talent

The tournament also serves as a platform for Buleleng’s young talent, many of whom have proudly represented Bali at national and international golf championships. Open to both local and international players, this year’s event has already drawn significant interest. Initially targeting 100 participants, organizers extended registration to accommodate 120 golfers.

“Due to the high enthusiasm of golfers in Bali, especially from Buleleng, the initial target of 100 participants was exceeded. After being curated by the committee, an additional 20 participants were added, bringing the total number of participants to 120.” Shared the Regent of Buleleng during a press conference at Spice Dive Restaurant, Lovina, on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The tournament will include categories like Longest Drive, Nearest to the Pin, and Nearest to the Line. For those lucky enough to hit a hole-in-one, prizes include a brand-new Toyota Fortuner GR Sport. Other prizes include a Toyota Innova Zenix and a grand lucky draw featuring 1 Yamaha X-Max, 2 Yamaha N-Max, and 2 Yamaha Aerox.

Despite the high-value prizes, Buleleng Regent Dr. I Nyoman Sutjidra confirmed that the event is not funded by the regional government budget. Instead, it is a collaborative effort between the Buleleng government, the Indonesian Golf Association, the Pancasari Golf Association, and Handara Golf & Resort.
