Discovery Mall Kuta Bali Condom Shop

Bali has its first condom shop. While condoms shops have opened all over the world, this is an Indonesian first. The people behind the shop, Endyk Bagus and his Australian wife Sarah say that it is not the intention of the condom shop to promote sexual activity, but to create safe sex awareness, and give family planning alternatives.

They say that they hope to contribute to a change of mind in Indonesia about condoms, because condoms are still associated with commercial sex and sex before marriage.

The couple lives in Jakarta, and run an wholesale and event management business.

Just only last year Indonesia was a lot in the news because of an anti-porn bill. People all over Indonesia, and especially Bali demonstrated against this bill.
