Today marks a beautiful and spiritual milestone for Nikita Villa in Kayuputih, as the Palm Living team gathered to perform the traditional Mecaru and Melaspas ceremonies. These sacred rituals are a deeply rooted part of Balinese culture, carried out to bless new buildings, purify the space, and seek harmony.

What Are Mecaru and Melaspas?

Mecaru is a cleansing ritual performed to neutralize negative energies and restore balance between humans and nature, especially when construction or disruption to land has occurred. It’s an offering to the spirits, asking for permission and forgiveness for any disturbance.

Melaspas, on the other hand, is a purification and blessing ceremony for new buildings. It is meant to spiritually “activate” the house or villa, inviting positive energy and making it suitable for living. It’s a way to welcome peace, prosperity, and protection into the new space.

Together, these ceremonies represent gratitude, respect for Balinese traditions, and the harmonious relationship between humans, nature, and the divine.
The journey of Nikita Villa began in 2023, with a dream of creating a peaceful and beautifully crafted retreat in the hills of Kayuputih. The perfect location was carefully selected, and every detail from architecture to interior design—was thoughtfully planned and brought to life. 

After two years of dedicated work, the villa reached completion in 2025, managed entirely by Palm Living, this project is not just a building, it’s a place filled with intention, purpose, and now, spiritual blessing.
